Perhaps cognate with Proto-Nakh *jobq̇ (“ash, ashes”) and Proto-Avaro-Andian *ƛ’ːiʔi (“ash, ashes”) with a metathesis: *yVNƛ’ːV > *ƛ’ːVNyV > *ƛ’ːiʔi.
